The lands of Deoirinth have not seen the calm of peace for the past three years. On the edge the Gruntak kingdom which is already weakened by political maneuvering and the threat of civil war, Deoirinth has been left to fend for itself.
The ongoing war with Bael Turath has left the lands east of the river Krin a shell of the thriving farm land and silver mines of old. Bael Turath armies now openly march within the borders, pushing for weaknesses in the Deoirinth defenses. Already strained by the funding of military struggles on the front, many areas find themselves left to fend for themselves against the rising threats.
Tales of Gnolls and Orcs, not seen outside of the Rythian woods for decades, have surfaced. The draw of the now derelict silver mines, no longer attract the great trade caravans from Lion Gate, leaving the much of the Deoirinth lands left to scavange for both food and arms. Even whisper of rebellion can even be heard, seeking to end the war through whatever means needed.
